Friday,  September 28th the Chambersburg Trojans football hosted the Cumberland Valley Eagles for their homecoming game. The Trojans defeated the Eagles 28-14 in what  was a very important game for the Trojan football organization. The Trojans sitting at a cool (5-1) are tied for third in their division after defeating the Eagles, also the Trojans prior to this game had lost to the Eagles for 25 straight years with their last victory occurring in 1993.

The Trojans offense did not produce as it usually does,  they massed a total of 239 yards, a season low for the Trojans. They were led by junior running back Keyshawn Jones who rushed for 92 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Trojans defense stepped up  to make up for the lack of offensive urgency by forcing 4 turnovers. One of which was a strip and score by Kyere Morton another a game sealing fumble recovery by Garner Funk. The Trojans look to be close to reaching their peak and feel that they will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming weeks.

This Friday October 5, they take on Central Dauphin East at Landis Field. Kick off is at 7Pm.
